The practitioner behind Bright On Reiki — bringing a calm, grounded approach to energy healing in Brighton & Hove.
I never imagined Reiki would become such an important part of my life.
Cycling has always been one of my greatest passions. After an accident that left me unable to ride while I recovered, I suddenly found myself with time to slow down — something I wasn't used to. Looking back, I truly believe that pause happened for a reason.
During my recovery, I picked up a book called Reiki for Life. I was simply curious, but as I read, something deeply resonated with me. Halfway through the book, I found myself immediately looking into Reiki courses without even thinking about it. It wasn't something I questioned or overthought — it simply felt like something I had to do. Sometimes, when you know, you know.
Within days, I had booked my Reiki Level 1 course, and that decision marked the beginning of a beautiful journey. The more I learned and experienced Reiki for myself, the more I felt that Reiki had found me. It wasn't just something I wanted to receive — it was something I felt called to share with others.
My first passion was sharing Reiki with animals. One of my own Pomeranians had undergone surgery for luxating patella, yet she continued to limp even after the vets confirmed everything had healed well. After I began giving her regular Reiki, I gradually noticed a change. Today she runs, plays, and enjoys life without limping. I can't say exactly why, but witnessing that transformation deepened my trust in Reiki and the gentle support it can offer alongside conventional veterinary care.
As my journey continued, I realised I wanted to support people too. Everyone deserves the opportunity to pause, breathe, and reconnect with themselves.
Today, I am a certified Level 2 Reiki Practitioner, offering in-person Reiki sessions in nature around Brighton and Hove, as well as distance Reiki for those who prefer to receive healing from the comfort of their own home.
For me, Reiki is about creating a calm, welcoming space where you can simply be. A place to step away from the busyness of everyday life, recharge your energy, and reconnect with yourself. Whether you come to relax, find clarity, or simply enjoy a moment of peace, you'll always be welcomed with kindness, compassion, and without judgement.
I feel incredibly grateful that what began as an unexpected chapter in my own life has led me to something that allows me to bring a little more brightness, care, and kindness into the lives of others.
Reiki is a complementary therapy that supports relaxation and wellbeing. It is not a substitute for medical or veterinary advice or treatment.
People often ask where the name Bright On Reiki comes from, and it carries a little piece of my own journey.
Many years ago, I had a dog walking business called Bright On Dogs. It was inspired by the time I lived in Brighton, but it also reflected something deeper: bringing a little brightness, care and kindness into the lives of others.
Although that chapter of my life came to an end, the name stayed close to my heart. When I discovered Reiki, it felt only natural to carry that same spirit forward.
Although I call Hove home today, the name Bright On Reiki reflects the beautiful Brighton & Hove community and coastline that have always felt like home to me. It's a reminder of light, new beginnings and finding moments of calm, whatever life brings.
Today, Bright On Reiki represents a new chapter. My purpose is to create a calm, supportive space where you can pause, reconnect with yourself and simply take a moment to breathe. Whether we meet in nature along our beautiful coastline or connect through a distance Reiki session, my hope is that you leave feeling lighter, more balanced and deeply supported.
The work I do has changed, but the intention hasn't. Whether I was caring for dogs or now sharing Reiki, it's always been about bringing a little brightness, care and kindness into the lives of others.
